Beautiful Baths

Following on from my last post if I had an infinite amount of money (which I don't) I would definitely go for a vintage Bateau bath. Of all baths only a Bateau can get away with having rose petals scattered into it.
Just lovely.

Back to Black

F is going to collect our cast iron bath at the weekend (thanks Sam) it's a giant leap of faith because we have no experience of showering over a roll top, we are such shower people so it's an important factor. Last night I even had a bad dream about a really horrible old shower curtain sticking to me! Anyway we were offered the bath at a bargain price and just couldn't refuse. Our last bathroom refurb in the flat utilised the existing standard bath so I'm pleased it's going to feel different and it will definitely make a great focus point. I was going to paint the underneath a very safe grey but looking at these pictures I just keep coming back to black.

Parquet Floors

I'm thinking that this is how our kitchen island might look. A very simple shape with a wooden worktop and coincidentally this image also has parquet floors which is what I'm intending  to do in the kitchen.

Sheds

Ah, that feels better, less of the practical stuff and back to the lovely pictures of what it might look like one fine day...

Bin and Gone

I think this is the first time in my life I have ever owned a wheelie bin, oh the joy of it! However,  I'm not exactly thrilled at the thought of looking at it through my kitchen window... and I still haven't figured out where to put the recycling.

I don't think it's enough of a problem to justify spending over £1000! That's how much this little baby is. Thud. That's the sound of me fainting at the ridiculousness of it. Perhaps I can just rip off this look by buying something a lot cheaper, painting it and growing plants all over it...

2 separate little sheds - One for recycling with 3 shelves and a wheelie bin shed. Though that bit of wood across the front would probably get on my nerves every time I used it.
H1280 x w730 x d820 and H1250 W700 D760 mm

One shed fits all. Less shelves on this one, but maybe a neater look?
1600mm L X 900mm W x 1200 mm H
Simple double wheelie bin store - perhaps I could put my own shelves in?

We'll also be getting one of these little beauties for Fred's dream bike shed.

Now I just have to decide paint colours!
